Air Filtration & Purification

Pre-filters are the first defence in any multi-stage filtration system. They trap larger particulates and dust, protecting and extending the life of the more expensive downstream filters such as HEPA, F-class and activated carbon stages. Filtration media: G4 class (washable, reusable). Frame: aluminium or galvanised steel. Distinctive features: large filtration area, low initial resistance, high airflow capacity, and high dust-holding capacity for extended service intervals.

HEPA (High-Efficiency Particulate Air) filters capture suspended particles down to 0.3 microns and below. They are the standard end-stage filter for cleanrooms, electronics and semiconductor manufacturing, precision-machining environments, and pharmaceutical production. FEPL supplies the full range of EN-1822 classes: HEPA media is constructed from superfine fibreglass filter paper or PP high-efficiency filter paper, separated by folded glue paperboard and aluminium foil, sealed with a new-generation polyurethane sealant. Each filter is individually leak-tested before dispatch.

F-class filters are classified per EN 779:2012 and are graded on their efficiency at capturing 0.4-micron particulate. They occupy the middle ground between coarse pre-filters and ultra-fine HEPAs, and are typically used as final-stage filters in HVAC systems, comfort ventilation, and intake-air filtration for sensitive process equipment.

Paint booth filtration is a specialist field. FEPL supplies the complete spectrum: Floor Filters. Fibreglass paint stop, used in heat-recovery and high-quality paint-mist filtration. The inlet face is green and the outlet face is white, with engineered compressibility for stability and resistance to scattering. Ceiling Filters. Reinforced with imported PE-net, glass fibre net, nylon cloth or a non-flammable net. Density gradient toward the clean-air side gives high filter efficiency, extended life and a laminar-flow output critical for spray-finish quality. Andrea-Type Filters. Specialised Kraft-paper labyrinth filters that absorb 100% relative humidity without collapsing. The hole pattern forces multiple direction changes, momentarily reducing local velocity to zero and capturing all particles. Carrying capacity is 12–15 kg/m².

Activated carbon filters are customised for the application. They capture odours and harmful gaseous compounds via three distinct mechanisms — absorption, adsorption and chemisorption — selected and dosed depending on the target contaminant. Filter sizing is driven by the volumetric flow rate, the inlet concentration of the contaminant, the breakthrough time the customer can accept, and the available pressure drop.

Specialty Industrial Filters In addition to the standard ranges above, FEPL supplies specialty filters for cleanroom installations, paint-booth applications, and other exacting environments where ultra-clean air is non-negotiable. These filters use high-particle-efficiency media with low pressure drop and are constructed for ultra-clean air protection in cleanroom and pharmaceutical environments.
